answer 1
Actually, the Micro-SIM card offered at http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=T-Mobile-Micro-SIM-Card does NOT work with prepaid/no-contract plans.
If you DO want prepaid/no-contract, get this product and - as I've been advised in a chat with customer service on 22 June 2012 - use scissors(!) to cut this regular (Mini-) SIM down to Micro size.
If anyone at T-Mobile is reading this: PLEASE include this information in the product description.

I was an AT&T customer when I switched from a iPhone 3GS, which uses a normal SIM card, to an iPhone 4, which uses a micro SIM. I went into the store to get a new SIM and they just took my regular SIM out of my 3GS, put it into a little press that they had at the counter which cut my regular SIM down to the size of a micro SIM, and put it into my 4. My iPhone 4 works just fine with a cut-up regular SIM.
