T mobile is non contract now, If your in a place that's still doing contract, leave it alone. I suggest you buy the phone outright, then go online and see what plans are to your liking and then call them to do a SIM Card swap if you do not have a micro SIM in you current phone, the new phone you bought will come with one free inside the box, and then talk about the plan you want with them and don't let them con you into getting things you don't need, like insurance. and call using another phone that your not changing.

It really depends. If you're with T-Mobile I'd call 611 and talk to an account rep to find out. I switched from AT&T and with two smartphones I'm saving about $50-60 a month.
